Possible Fortnite x Kingdom Hearts Collaboration Leaked

Rumors are circulating that in the next batch of Fortnite collaborative crossovers, Kingdom Hearts would be one of them. This rumor is founded by user Midori (MbKKssTBhz5) on X, who has predicted leaked content consistently since October 2022 – from Atlus leaks to Square Enix leaks. In addition, the crossover is fairly logical, as Kingdom Hearts had a resurgence due to the recent announcement that the series would be added to Steam.

Fortnite (2017) has had many collaborative crossovers with other external series in the past. This includes Japanese IPs such as Jujutsu Kaisen, which is a popular manga published in Shonen Jump, as well as more recently, TV series Invincible in November of 2023. In 2023, Fortnite sustained around 17 crossovers with other series; some included playable characters while others had easter eggs alluding to the series added into the game. Some crossovers, like the Ninjago collaboration released on March 20th, 2024, also come with an inclusion of a gamemode. In the Ninjago collaboration’s case, Fortnite:LEGO included a battle arena gamemode. In leaks for Kingdom Hearts x Fortnite, there is no confirmation about what specific content will be added into the game: characters, gamemodes, etc.

Crossovers are part of the lifeblood in live service games, especially those catered to younger teens and older audiences alike. Due to the uptick in anime and manga consumption during COVID, Japanese series became more mainstream. Kingdom Hearts, in fact, is a collaboration between Japanese company Square Enix – known for series such as Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest – and American company Walt Disney.

Crossover skin prices tend to fluctuate. For a guideline, to get all three skins for the recent ATLA x Fortnite collaboration, a person would have to spend around 5,200 Vbucks (ingame currency). A player can expect to spend around $36.99 USD for 5,000 Vbucks, thus pricing each skin around $13.50 USD.
