Another anime and manga franchise crosses over to Fortnite. Earlier today the battle royal announced its latest high-profile crossover event on Twitter. This event brings four popular characters from My Hero Academia, another popular battle shonen manga series from Shonen Jump, to the iconic battle royal game: the main protagonist Izuku Midoriya, his rival Bakugo Katsuki, Izuku’s friend Ochako Uraraka, and mentor All Might. Like all previous crossover characters, each character outfit has its specific abilities that can be used to come out on top on the battlefield.
Midoriya’s Outfit includes the All Might Collectible Back Bling and the Blackwhip Axe Pickaxe, Bakugo Katsuki’s outfit includes the Grenade Backpack Back Bling and the Cluster Buster Pickaxe, All Might’s outfit includes the Principal Nezu Back Bling and the All Smite Pickaxe and lastly, Uraraka’s outfit includes the Uravity Booster Back Bling and the Uravity Smasher Pickaxe.
Along with the new character outfits, players can check out the new limited-time My Hero Academia Quests and the Hero Training Gym island in Battle Royal. Players that complete the quests before December 29, 2022, 7 PM ET can unlock special items like unlock XP and special items such as Deku Spray, PLUS ULTRA Spray and Deku’s Glove Emoticon. Players that complete eight My Hero Academia Quests can earn the U.A. Cape Back Bling. In the Hero Training Gym island, players can engage in team vs. team combat within two different arena settings for 100 Rescuse points. Players can earn those points from eliminations or by capturing Rescue Zones that appear periodically across the arena.
Fortnite‘s latest crossover was met with similar praise as its previous event with the Dragon Ball franchise, with many continuing to marvel at the reach the game has acquired throughout the years since its debut.
