Pokémon UK has recently released information about a promotional event for the newest game in the mainline Pokémon series. In a tweet on August 5th, Pokémon UK revealed that they would be building a Pokémon Center in London. This is the first time that a Pokémon Center has opened up in the UK and it will only be around for a limited time. The store will have tons of Pokémon merchandise as well as lots of Galar themed merchandise as well. The reason why there will be a pop-up Pokémon Center in London is because of the fact that the inspiration for the upcoming game Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield is the United Kingdom.
It’s happening, Trainers!

For those who have no idea what a Pokémon Center is outside of the game, it is a merchandise store. The stores are usually in cities across Japan, however, there are permanent Pokémon Centers in the United States. There is one in New York at Nintendo World Store, and there are two in Washington State, one in Tacoma Mall, and the other at Northgate Mall in Seattle. The Pokémon Center has even branched out to the internet and Pokémon fans can purchase goods from their website.
The promotional store will open on October 18th and close on the day of the release of Pokémon Sword and Shield, November 15th. There is currently no information regarding the opening and closing times, or the prices, or the specific merchandise that will be available. The store will be located at Westfield London, in Shepherd’s Bush. Pokémon Sword and Shield will be available for the Nintendo Switch on November 15th for $59.99.
