Pokémon Sword and Shield: Ranked Battles Event and More Details during June Season

Pokémon through the years have always developed new content for its passionate fans and today is no different. Throughout the month of June, Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield announced that they are going to be having a Ranked Battle Event which also lets fans be exposed to a plethora of Gigantamax Pokémons.

On the Pokémon Gaming website, they discussed the Ranked Battles June Season. “The new season of Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Ranked Battles has begun and will run throughout June. Test your Trainer skills in head-to-head battles with players around the world, move up the leaderboards, and earn in-game rewards.”

They also mention that the only Pokémon that will be obtained in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, whether they are caught, hatched from Eggs, or received as an official Mystery Gift, can be eligible to compete in the competition, excluding Legendary or Mythical Gift. They provided both a list of Pokémon that apply to this detail whether you hatched them from an Egg on their website and if any players are looking to add some Gigantamax power which players should aware that the following Pokémon that players can obtain in Gigantamax version within their own team.

The Pokémon developers provide instructions for players to start the Ranked Battles. “To start Ranked Battled, select VS in the X menu, select Battle Stadium and then select Ranked Battles. You can press the Y Button to see an overview of Ranked Battles before you begin your match.”

And before players begin their battle, players will be matched with other players with similar ranks to ensure even competition. When the season finishes, players will be rewarded depending on what tier they finished. The higher the tier, the greater the reward.

Fans of the Pokémon world will be excited about the Ranked Battles and will have a chance to challenge their Pokémon skills in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield.
