Pokémon Sun And Moon Starters Will Have Exclusive Z-Moves And More Ultra-Beasts Revealed

This is it, this is the week. The week we will finally get our hands on the seventh generation of the Pokémon franchise. Our journey in the Alola region will begin in a matter of days. I remember back when we announced the news of the leaked titles all those months ago, and the massive leak few weeks ago that rendered all future trailers pointless. Now here we are with one last trailer that echoes the first trailer we saw way back when.

Much like that first trailer, this potentially final trailer starts off with the starters, now all grown up. In Sun and Moon, the seventh generation starters will have their own special Z-Move. Decidueye’s is called Sinister Arrow Raid and as you would assume it sends a barrage of arrows hurtling towards the enemy. From what it looks like it’s a type move as it a knocks out Primarina in one hit. This theme persists throughout all three moves.

Incineroar’s Z-Move calls back to its love of battling. It’s called Malicious Moonsault and it summons a wrestling ring for Incineroar to use as a springboard to body slam its opponent. Lastly, there is Primarina’s Z-Move called Oceanic Operetta. With this move Primarina forms a massive bubble filled with water and smashes it over the other trainer’s Pokémon.

We also got a look at two new Ultra Beasts. The first is UB-03 Lighting and honestly, it looks likes nothing. It’s like if you stuck a bunch of extension cords into a bucket of water and froze it. I wish I had more info for this weird thing but even the Pokémon website has nothing to say about this guy.

The next Ultra Beast is UB-05 Gluttony and it loves to eat, like, a lot. It is said by the Pokémon website says that it eats everything even the very Earth itself. UB-05 doesn’t produce any waste meaning that everything it consumes is converted to energy.

Back when the Sun and Moon demo came out people discovered the majesty of a Dugdrio with golden locks befitting Fabio. It’s one of the funniest/dumbest things I’ve personally ever seen and makes me happy to know that someone thought of it, but I digress. We never found out the new typing of the Alolan Diglett and Dugdrio until this trailer. We now know that it will be a Ground/Steel and its beautiful hair is is actually metal and shine with a golden brilliance. They are also cartoonishly expressive for example if they are angry their hairs will stand straight up. It is also said that they have a deific status and those who take a Dugdrio’s hair out of Alola are punish for doing so.

There will also be a myriad of free Pokémon to get when the games come out this Friday. Anyone who played the demo can pick up their Ash-Greninja from Prof. Kukui. If you pick up the game day one you can get a Munchlax with Snorlium-Z via the internet Mystery Gift. The newest offer is for the mythical Pokémon Magerna. Details are slim, but you get it by scanning a QR code using the built in QR scanner. The website says that more details are coming.

Pokémon Sun and Moon will be out November 18th for all Nintendo handhelds.
