Today, one day before the 25th anniversary of Pokémon, the Pokémon Company announced a bunch of exciting gaming news for the Pokémon franchise, including the long-awaited Pokémon Diamond and Pearl remakes as well as a new game Pokémon Legends Arceus. Here is the full Pokémon Presents video!
The video included more details on the New Pokémon Snap coming out on April 30. Trainers can travel around the Lental Region taking pictures of Pokémon from every generation playing, surfing, laughing, and more. These pictures will be rated by Professor Mirror and can be edited using stickers, frames, and other photo editing options. You can also share the pictures your most proud of online. So, get ready to takes lots of pics of your favorite Pokémon!
In addition, there are even more exclusive events from Gigantamax Pikachu raids in Pokémon Sword and Shield to Leon making an appearance in Pokémon Masters Ex. There will also be special legendary raids in Pokémon GO featuring the legendary birds and Mewtwo to celebrate the Kanto Region. Also, if you play Pokémon Café Mix, players can receive 25,000 acorns for logging in to the game. Make sure to check out all of these special events before they are gone!
After months of rumors and suspense, the new Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl remakes are here, and fans around the world have been hoping it would come true. Now, trainers will be able to relive the magic of the Sinnoh region fifteen years later rediscovering pokémon, battling Team Galactic, and saving the universe. From the footage shown, the remakes appear to be dedicated to the original games’ design and story but with an updated art style. The announcement of these remakes did not disappoint, and Pokémon fans can rest easy knowing these remakes will be released later this year.
Finally, last in the lineup was the announcement of Pokémon Legends Arceus a new open-world RPG entering the video game series. According to Takato Utsunomiya the Pokémon Company’s COO said,
Pokémon Legends Arceus represents a new approach for the Pokémon video game series… with the aim to deliver a gaming experience that breaks new ground…
The game is set in an older era of Sinnoh where you will start your journey by choosing a starter pokémon. Together, you will explore the open world where wild pokémon live to create and complete the first pokédex. With plans to be released early next year, fans cannot wait to explore this beautiful and exciting game.
