Niantic is bringing back yet another legendary character for the Pokemon Go Raid Event coming up next weekend. Starting March 15 Rayquaza will be joining the special event for a limited time. This event will give trainers a great opportunity to catch Rayquaza since it last appeared nearly a year ago.
The special Raid Weekend event will begin at 1 PM PT and 4 PM PT. The time slot will run until the same time on Monday, March 18. The event has also been announced on the Pokemon Go App Twitter page and many fans are excited for this chance to capture a rare legendary Pokemon.
Another exciting factor is that throughout the weekend, the Sky High Pokemon will appear in Raid Battles. However, for any new comers into the Pokemon world, trainers must first team up with other players and take down the legendary Rayquaza before attempting to catch it. Rayquaza is not the only legendary Gen 3 character to make a reappearance in Pokemon Go as of late. Latias made an appearance towards the end of February for a special Raid event. Niantic also teased its Pokemon Go fans that Latias’ twin Latios will be joining the fight, but in its own special event in the future.
If you missed out on Latias, keep an eye on the Pokemon event dates, because Niantic will be announcing the Latios event soon enough. Unfortunately, the legendary Gen 3 Pokemon is not able to evolve, but it’s already a fierce opponent without the use of evolving. Niantic has also introduced two new Shiny Pokemon as part of the battle showdown event: Mankey and Machop. However, the event will only be accessible until March 12.
The latest Pokemon to appear in Pokemon Go is Dialga, which is the cover mascot of Pokemon Diamond. This legendary character will appear in Raid Battles until March 28. This month’s Pokemon Go Community Day begins on Saturday, March 23 and the featured Pokemon will be Treecko. It is one of the three starters from Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. One great bonus is that players will be able to hatch the eggs at a quarter of their usual required distance during the event.
