After a year long wait, Pokémon fans whos favorite generation is third generation will be met with excitement and challenging tasks ahead of them. The wait is finally over for now this year’s Pokémon GO Tour will be set in the region of Hoenn. While a Pokémon GO Tour Hoenn Las Vegas was a live event, this will be a global event where everyone around the world will be able to participate. Starting Saturday, February 25th and lasting through Sunday the 26th, Pokémon fans will now take to the streets and partake in the annual event. For those looking to finish their Hoenn Pokédex, now is the time to do so. Here’s all that’s happening this weekend.
Starting at 10:00 A.M. local time, trainers will form two teams by having to choose between the Ruby or Sapphire badge. The team that completes more tasks per hour will determine if the primal raids will feature the primal versions of Groundon and Kyogre. This will also affect the kind of wild Pokémon that will spawn on the field. If Team Ruby takes the lead, trainers will have more encounters with Plusle, Bolbeat, Trapinch, Solrock, and Sunny Form Castform. If Team Sapphire takes the lead, there will be more encounters with Minun, Illumise, Wailmer, Lunatone and Rainy Form Castform.
Much like the events before, there will be in-game goodies and features for trainers to enjoy. To start, the game will have new clothing and accessories. New stickers will be added for collecting and sending along to gifts to players on friend lists. And lastly, new music will be incorporated to the game based on the themes of Ruby and Sapphire.
You can look forward to new pieces of featured music inspired by Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire. These pieces were created by Junichi Masuda (@Junichi_Masuda), Pokémon video game series composer and Chief Creative Fellow of The Pokémon Company! #PokemonGOTour

During this event, there will be an increase in shiny encounters of Hoenn Pokémon. And to ensure that trainers have the means to catch them, Niantic has increased the Pokémon capacity to 6,520. The item storage has also increased to 5,250, allowing people to carry more pokeballs, potions, incense and other items needed to catch em all. The event will end on Sunday 26th at 6:00 P.M local time. For more information on the event, you can check out on the official Pokémon website.
