There never seems to be enough Pokemon Go fun as Niantic has recently announced yet another rare Pokemon that will be taking place during the event this weekend. In addition to the Clamperl Limited Research Event which will take place on Saturday February 23, Niantic has also scheduled a special Raid Weekend which will grant players the opportunity to catch the Legendary Gen 3 Dragon Latias. Latias first appeared May of 2018 alongside its twin Latios.
The event will start from February 22-25, leading Latias to make a repeat appearance in Raid Battles around the world. Niantic also wrote a post on their Pokemon Go App Twitter page spreading a message to all the Pokemon Go trainers to keep in mind throughout the special Raid Weekend event. Niantic says their blue Eon Pokemon will also be joining the fun for a Special Weekend Event at a later date, which has not been specified just yet.
The Limited Research Event will take place on February 23 and much like a community day will run for only three hours. During the special event players will have the opportunity to receive special Field Research tasks from PokeStops. By going forth with the challenge and completing all of the tasks trainers will have the chance of going head to head with the rare never-before-available Gen 3 Pokemon Clamperl. It will evolve into either Huntail or Gorebyss, but the trainers won’t know for sure until they evolve Clamperl.
In addition, Niantic is holding another special event called the Meltan Event which allows players the chance of encountering a Shiny Meltan when opening the Mystery Box. This event has already begun and will last until March 4, so don’t wait too long. Also, don’t forget the Legendary Gen 4 Palkia can also be found in raid Battles until February 28. Trainers that are up for the challenge have to be sure to search thoroughly and battle hard.
