Pokémon Fans Can Look Forward to New Pokémon Direct and Pokémon Press Conference in Coming Weeks

A new Pokémon Direct was announced earlier today via the Nintendo of America Twitter page. The event promises “roughly 15 minutes of new information” regarding the upcoming Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. The event, which will be live-streamed on the Nintendo website, will take place on Wednesday, June 5 bright at early at 6 am PT. The last Pokémon Direct in February announced the games, which are coming to Switch sometime this year.

For excited fans who are dreading the thought of waiting over a week for new Pokémon news, fear not! More Pokémon news is on the way, this time via press conference from the Pokémon Company, and is happening tomorrow, May 28 at 6 pm PDT. You can check out the press conference via live stream on the Pokémon website. The previous Pokémon Company Press Conference revealed new Kanto region trailer for Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee!

While no official comments have been made as to what will be covered during the press conference, it could have something to do with a new Pokémon game from mobile game company DeNA announced recently. The company has partnered with Nintendo in the past as well, releasing Super Mario Run for mobile platforms in 2016. DeNA plans to “launch new and exciting smartphone game this fiscal year based on the globally popular Pokémon franchise, in partnership with The Pokémon Company,” according to DeNA’s 2018 operating results.

Whether you’re more excites about some news about Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, or hoping for the next big thing from the Pokémon Company, the wait is incredibly short for both.
