Pokemon Cafe Mix’s new update now adds the very first team events to its mechanics. As groups of up to 30 people can assemble and feed a “snack deprived Snorlax”, the end goal of this event is to eventually get the Snorlax to join your cafe. As of now, the Snorlax event is set to run until October 8th.
How’s business, Pokémon Café owners?
Starting today there’s a new business opportunity! With the new team function, you can participate in the first team event on 9/24, Hungry Snorlax! Take on the event with a team of up to 30 #PokemonCafeMix players.https://t.co/2FRGOzXtxY pic.twitter.com/JW6JpHzcGQ

Snorlax proves itself to be a handy companion when solving puzzles due to its unique skillset that lets it clear Pokemon icons and gimmicks. It will also cost a player 300 Gold Acorns to form a team, and whoever pays for the initial 300 is then pronounced the team captain. While it seems like a steep price at first (since Golden Acorns aren’t easy to come by in the first place), the team captain does however get 300 Golden Acorns for every team member recruited onto their team (which could essentially total up to 10,000 Golden Acorns). And while teams are separate from friend lists, you can still recruit people from your friend list to be on your team. As of now, this is the first playable team event for Pokemon Cafe Mix, but Nintendo’s other announcements about the event show that there could be follow up ones in the future.
Along with this update, Pokemon Cafe Mix also added 50 new Regular Orders and 25 Master Orders. For the price of real money, a Team Order Pack (that includes 13,400 Gold Acorns, an assortment of random items, and a Snorlax Manic Pikachu to be a new staff member) is also available.
Pokemon Cafe Mix is a free puzzle game available on Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. The game consists of you and your partner Pokemon Evee running a cafe where you serve lines of hungry Pokemon. To feed said Pokemon, the player has to clear out Pokemon-theme, icons by linking them to a ring, where they will continue to level up and serve customers.
