Pokémon has announced another Adventure Week for Pokemon Go. This time around, it’s all about fossil Pokémon. The new Pokémon Adventure Week 2023 event will start on Thursday, July 27 and will last until Wednesday, August 2nd at 8 pm. The featured Pokémon consist of Omanyte, Kabuto, Aerodactyl, Lileep, Anorith, Cranidos, Shieldon, Tirtouga, Archen, Tyrunt, and Amaura. All of these Pokémon have the chance to be shiny.
The Pokémon Adventure Week also allows trainers to hatch 7km eggs. There’s a higher chance of getting a shiny Tyrunt and shiny Amaura from an egg as opposed to one caught in the wild. Archen and Tirtouga also have the chance to be shiny when hatched from an egg.
As for field research encounters, the following Pokémon can be encountered by completing field research tasks: Omastar, Kabutops, Cradily Armaldo, Tyrunt, and Amaura. Only Tyrunt and Amaura have the chance of being shiny, however.
The Pokémon Adventure Week will also contain bonus content. The bonus content is used to hatch eggs and gain additional XP. XP is doubled for ‘spinning’ Pokémon. Continually, trainers can earn five-times the XP for spinning a Pokestop for the first time. Additionally, trainers can place their eggs in ‘incubators’ to reduce the required distance to hatch by half.
With regards to raid battles, the featured Pokémon, Regidrago and mega Tyranitar, are available if conquered. This is mega Tyuranitar’s first appearance in Pokémon Go.
Lastly, Pokémon Go trainers can purchase event-exclusive timed research. Timed research costs $2.00 and by completing ‘Research Tasks,’ players can encounter event-themed Pokémon, collect two incubators and one mega incubator. If you’re at the ‘Great-Friendship level,’ you can buy your friends a gift ticket. Free timed research will also be available during Adventure week, but trainers will have to decide between exploration tasks or research-focused tasks.
Make sure you login on July 27th for all of the featured events. Because so much of the bonus content is free, don’t miss out!
