PlayStation Returns To Tokyo Game Show 2024

The organizers of Tokyo Game Show have announced details for the upcoming event this year including the list of exhibitors and ticket sales information. One of the biggest exhibitors revealed is PlayStation which makes return to Tokyo Game Show for the first time since 2019 with the reveal of PlayStation 5. The organizers also revealed that as of July 4, the number of exhibitors was 731 and there will be 3,190 exhibit booths which will make Tokyo Game Show 2024 the biggest show in its history, beating out last year’s event.

The social media post reads:

“The official website for visitors opened yesterday

In addition to the list of exhibitors, ticket sales information has been announced!

As of July 4th, the number of exhibitors was 731. The number of exhibit booths will be the highest ever at 3,190!

We are planning to hold the event on a larger scale than last year’s, which was the largest ever! Please check out the official website!!!”

In addition to PlayStation, Capcom, Konami, SEGA, Square Enix, Bandai Namco, Nintendo, and more will be participating in Tokyo Game Show.

As for what PlayStation could be showing, that’s still a mystery, even more so considering this year is relatively quiet for first-party PlayStation titles. By the time Tokyo Game Show 2024 commences, PlayStation’s biggest upcoming games Concord, Astro Bot, and God of War Ragnarok on PC will have been released.

One of the biggest upcoming PlayStation releases will be Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Coincidentally, Death Stranding had its big reveal during Tokyo Game Show and it appears that the sequel could show up.

Nothing official has been announced yet but Hideo Kojima teased that he may attend Tokyo Game Show 2024 on social media.

Tokyo Game Show 2024 will run from September 26 through September 29.
