Players In The Division Blocking Doorways Hours After Launch

There are a few cardinal rules to the internet/online gaming that anyone who has spent more than a ten minute examination will know: ad blockers are neat but are choking Youtube stars, you can find porn of everything imaginable, and if trolls can find an achilles heels in anything they are going to exploit the hell out of it.

It appears mere hours after the game’s launch, a certain breed of players (in truest troll fashion) have located and begun abusing a flaw in The Division’s first available safehouse. And no, it isn’t something crafty, nor is it complicated. Players have found that if you stand in the doorway, no one else can go past or around–creating the most frustrating online, bottlenecked queue.

Players who spawn inside the safehouse are thus trapped, unable to play. While seemingly amusing and harmless, it is depriving many other players the ability to actually play the game–which is what they bought the damn thing for.

Thankfully, it appears there might just be a solution. According to a post written by Redditor, inaudible101, players should be able to run and pass right through offending doorway jammers:

If you keep running at him for a few seconds you phase through. It’s not really a big deal. People just don’t keep pushing and instead back up and go forward which keeps you from going through him.

No word yet from developers at Ubisoft on whether or not they’re working on a solution. Hopefully, given time, a patch will be released to alleviate the chaos.
