Platinum Games Developed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Game Leaked

A new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game appeared on the Australia Classification Board earlier today titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants In Manhattan. The supposed game is to be developed by Platinum Games, famous for developing Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

The listed publisher for the game is Activision which is continuous with the fact that the studio is the current license holder for the TMNT franchise. Their latest TMNT game, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, released in 2013 and was widely panned by gaming critics. Though the Australian Classification Board is a reliable source the game has yet to be confirmed as no comment has been made by the publisher.

This wouldn’t mark the first time that Activision and Platinum Games have teamed for a notable licensed game. In 2013 they worked on The Legend of Korra and in 2015 they teamed up again for Transformers: Devastation. While The Legend of Korra was met with mixed to average reviews, Transformers: Devastation was well received notably for its depiction of the original 1984 Transformers cartoon.

According to the Brazil Ministry of Justice, the game will be available on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC platforms.

Platinum Games is currently at work on Star Fox Zero for Nintendo, Scalebound for Microsoft, and Nier: Automata for Square Enix, each slated for a 2016 release.
