EA just dropped the details and a new trailer for the Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 open beta coming January 14th.
Participating in the beta will grant players access to Backyard Battleground, an interactive playground area connected to each of the game’s maps and modes. Players will get to play on new maps and modes in addition to several classic staples of the first game.
The beta comes with three new 24 player modes:
- Flag of Power – King of the Hill-type mode where you’ll fight off waves of enemies while trying to keep your flag raised
- Herbal Assault – Play as a team of Plants on the new map Moon Base Z.
- Gardens & Graveyards – Go back to the games roots and defend against a zombie attack against your plant garden. Features the new map Seeds Of Time.
A total of six new playable characters will be added to the original cast seen below.
Those wanting to join the beta can head over to the Plants Vs. Zombies site on January 14th. Beta lasts until January 18th and is available for Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
