PGA Tour 2k21 For Switch Does Not Have Course Designer

As 2K Sports released a new trailer for their upcoming PGA Tour 2K21one thing that fans noticed was the lack of the Course Designer in the game. As the trailer goes on, the video then explains that the course designer will not be available on the Nintendo Switch. Even at most recent press release from 2k, they say that the course designer mode will not be available “at launch” which could mean that it might be coming in a future update (however, this nor a possible time frame for the possible said update is not confirmed). The course designer mode is still available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

This particular game mode allows players to create whatever kind of golf courses they imagine, ranging from multiple animals in the way to impossible time-consuming puzzles to figure out. The course designer mode (which was featured in previous games of this series), plays a big role in what makes this franchise so popular. As players have created and shared thousands of courses over the years, this is what keeps the game so new and fresh once they find themselves finished with the career mode.  For the included (and real-world courses that are playable in the game), the list goes as; Atlantic Beach Country Club, Copperhead Course, Quail Hollow Club, Rivera Country Club, TPC Boston, TPC Deere Run, TPC Louisiana, TPC River Highlands, TPC San Antonio, TPC Sawgrass, TPC Scottsdale, TPC SouthWind, TPC Summerlin, and TPC Twin Cities.

Even with the lack of course design mode in PGA Tour 2k21, there is still a finalized list in the trailer that shows both the playable athletes and the courses. As the list goes, the playable characters are Justin Thomas, Matt Kuchar, Bryson DeChambeau, Kevin Kisner, Cameron Champ, Tony Finau, Ian Poulter, Gary Woodland, Jim Furyk, Billy Horschel, Patrick Cantlay, and Sergio Garcia. After its initial announcement in May, PGA Tour 2k21 will be released on August 21st, 2020 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
