HoYoverse, the company behind Honkai Impact 3rd, Genshin Impact, and Honkai: Star Rail, has announced their upcoming life simulation game, Petit Planet. The game was officially teased on September 23rd with a promotional short video posted to Petit Planet’s socials. A circular fluffy creature flew around in a forest scene, landing on the head of a larger creature and revealing the icon for Petit Planet’s socials.
Late on September 24, a small-scale closed beta was announced for Petit Planet, called a Coziness Test. Notably, it is a closed beta that will include a data wipe on a game that is still in development. Those interested in applying for the closed beta test can find the sign-up on the Petit Planet official website alongside pre-registration. The closed beta test is only available to those 18 years of age and older, and applications close today September 25, 2025 at 6:00pm ET / 3:00pm PT. It is only available for iOS and Windows PC users. The test window is not yet released.
The closed beta test announcement came in tandem with Petit Planet’s “Cozy Cosmic Trailer.” In the description, it says: “Here, craft your ideal life—plan and build, plant and harvest, befriend quirky fuzzy neighbors, and infuse your world with the magical essence of Luca.” The trailer features anthropomorphic animal characters as the player tends to plants, travels between worlds, and plays with friends. The trailer shows that players will be able to fish, grow crops, and play games in co-op multiplayer with others, all while building a fun little community on their own little planet.
Players will be able to look forward to a cozy gaming experience from HoYoverse with the announcement of Petit Planet on the heels of their Honkai: Nexus Anima closed beta test recently ending. HoYoverse seems to be working hard on diversifying their games and giving players a myriad of different experiences in gaming.
