Persona 3: Reload Tackles The Answer With New DLC Coming Soon

The remake of Persona 3Persona 3: Reload has been a hit for Atlus this year, but prior to its release, fans were confused about the lack of a Female MC or The Answer Post Game from the Portable and FES versions respectively. With FES being the definitive version of the game prior to Reload, and Portable changing how the overworld is navigated, it felt odd that the best of these games was not attached to the remake. While one of those concerns is being addressed, and rather soon as well. The Answer will be available as a DLC for Persona 3: Reload on September 10, 2024 for PS5 and PS4 through the Expansion pass. The pass is also available on Steam.

The Answer, now being called Episode Aigis: The Answer, takes place after the game’s true ending – the one that Spoiler Alert: involves the protagonist becoming the seal against Nyx, a goddess trapped in the moon that attempts to reunite with Earth in an apocalyptic event. As such the protagonist of this new DLC can’t be the one from the main game. Instead Aigis becomes the new protagonist as the members of S.E.E.S are trapped in their dorm on the day of graduation. Confronted by a mysterious individual, Metis, who looks shockingly like Aigis, the player journeys into the basement to find a desert of doors. As the team explores this desolate space, an almost inverse of Tartarus, they attempt to come to grips with the conclusion of the original game.

While the conclusion of the original game does a masterful job of emphasizing the game’s themes within the characters, player, and narrative as a whole, The Answer might give people who want more from the world of Persona 3 what they’ve been craving. Marked at roughly thirty hours of gameplay, the DLC pales in scope to the main game, but it is meant to serve as a relatively short denouement for the characters of Persona 3.
