Well, it looks like we know what the next Life is Strange game will be called. a listing on PEGI, a video game ratings board, leaked the name and details of what looks like the next game in the franchise: Life is Strange: Reunion. It sounds like Max Caulfield will return… alongside Chloe Price, a very important character from Max’s life and the other central character in the first game.
The post provides a brief outline of Life is Strange: Reunion, which reads:
“Chloe Price was Max Caulfield’s partner in time… Losing her is Max’s greatest regret. Now Chloe has come to Caledon University. Haunted by nightmares and impossible memories, Chole needs Max’s help. But Max is already in crisis: in three days, a deadly inferno will destroy the campus.”
According to the post, the opening scene of the game will recap previous games from the series, including a scene where a girl is shot in the torso before she is then seen lying on the ground with blood seeping through her shirt, which is a scene from the first game. The game will also feature depicitions of the use of illegal drugs. “During a party scene, the player is offered wine and is given the option to take a sip. The player character realises that she has been spiked from the drink that she sipped on and is experiencing hallucinations. Images on screen become distorted and a scene plays out with the character seeing strange images. A character tells the hallucinating character that she is ‘tripping balls’. It is then explained that she is high on mushrooms.”
Last year, developer Deck Nine, who has taken the reigns of the past two Life is Strange titles was reported to be working on a follow-up to Life is Strange: Double Exposure last year.
We’ll have to wait and see when Life is Strange: Reunion officially gets revealed and releases.
