PAX Unplugged Will Return as the Go-To Tabletop-Centric Gaming Convention

While it may have seemed like PAX Aus 2018 would be the last PAX event for 2018, just yesterday, the newest addition to the PAX series, PAX Unplugged, announced that it would be returning for a second time at the end of the year. Although the newest PAX addition will not centered around gaming, PAX Unplugged will instead be focused around tabletop gaming, and it will be the host for game reveals, tournaments, panels, and so much more.

PAX Unplugged found its roots back in 2017, and it was a big enough success to warrant a second returning year. During last year’s inaugural event, tabletop players had incredible opportunities to witness brand new game reveals, try upcoming titles with hands-on experience, play in tabletop tournaments, and participate in panels with industry leaders. Also returning with PAX Unplugged is the event producer, ReedPOP. The producing company has had a hand in producing events such as Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo, all PAX event series’, and multiple Comic Con even series’. With a boisterous portfolio, fans are sure not to be disappointed as PAX Unplugged is in good hands.

In addition to there being panels, tournaments, and early access to upcoming tabletop titles, there will be other activities for fans to interact in. There will be live performers (with more to be added on as the event draws closer), PAX XP (which is an event dedicated to fan interaction that rewards with prizes), pin trading, a diversity lounge, a tabletop freeplay area, a miniatures area, and even an area dedicated to small groups or lone wolves to find other groups or people in order to make friends.

The second iteration of PAX Unplugged will run from November 30 until December 2 at Philadelphia’s Pennsylvania Convention Center. Tickets are currently on sale right now, but there will be no early bird specials for this PAX event. Despite this, a three day pass for PAX Unplugged will only be $65.75, and an individual day pass will also only cost $30.75. There are also pre-merch sales going on right now, which include dice, socks, blankets, and more.
