With the West Coast version of Penny Arcade Expo, or PAX West, underway, Sony is offering deep discounts for “fan favorite” titles across the company’s platforms in a new flash sale until Sept 5.
Among the featured titles are action RPG Bloodborne, supernatural-themed Oxenfree, and Phil Fish’s FEZ, although many gamers dislike Fish for his personality. The sale spans the PS4, PS3, Vita and PSP with prices up to 70 percent off their original retail value through the PlayStation Store. The following list details some of the games on sale, although a full list with sorting options can be found on the PlayStation Store.
PS4
- Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition
- Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor – Game of the Year Edition
- Outlast
- Skullgirls 2nd Encore
- Super Meat Boy
- XCOM 2 Digital Deluxe Edition
PS3
- Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix
- Borderlands
- Catherine
- Jet Set Radio
- Tales of Graces F + Tales of Xillia – Combo Pack
Vita

- Persona 4: Dancing All Night
- Tales of Hearts R
- XCOM Enemy Unknown Plus
PSP
- Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded
- Final Fantasy III
- Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions
- The Third Birthday
On the same day the sale ends, September’s free PS Plus games will be available for subscribers to the online service. Unlike the flash sale which extends to 2005’s PSP system (2004 if going by the Japanese release), PS Plus games cutoff with the PS3, which launched in 2006.
This month’s PS Plus offerings feature the action genre on PS4 with inFamous: Second Son and Strike Vector EX while PS3 tackles sports games with Handball 2016 and Truck Racer. Vita owners can look forward to Hatoful Boyfriend, a bird dating visual novel, and twin-stick shooter WE ARE DOOMED, which both support Cross Buy on PS4.
Initially, Sony incorrectly announced the PS3 and Vita listings for this month. Monster Jam Battlegrounds and Hustle Kings were mistakenly listed for PS3, along with Hue and Sky Force Anniversary on the Vita.
The sale ends 8 a.m. PDT on Sept. 5, while the month’s PS Plus games go live later that day.
