Just yesterday, Gearbox had teased a new title when they released the Mask of Mayhem trailer that showed off the iconic mask of the Borderlands franchise with a plethora of characters, guns, and all different types of molding that the render had. This had led to people and fans believing and speculating that the title that would be revealed at PAX East show. But there was more revealed that just showing off the rendered tease.
The first thing that Gearbox wanted to announce is currently a PAX East special. It’s the first ever board game in the Borderlands franchise known as Borderlands’ Tiny Tina’s Robot Tea Party. Players are to build their own claptrap, and can add stuff on, steal from another player, or if they don’t like their Claptrap, they can destroy their current one, and make a new one. There are 54 parts, and 21 actions. The game can be played for 2-5 players and rounds that last up towards 15 minutes. Currently it’s just a PAX East exclusive, but will be available for purchase soon.
The next thing that was announced were that a few things would be coming to Borderlands 2 VR. The first thing is that it aim controller support is coming, as it was highly requested. And, that all of the original Borderlands 2 DLC will be coming to the VR version in Summer 2019 as a free update.
And with that, Borderlands the Handsome Collection will be getting an update on April 3, 2019. The collection contains remastered versions of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands the Pre-Sequel and all their extra content. The update will allow players to experience these games in 4k. Gearbox also announced that the first Borderlands is getting the same treatment: completely remastered, but it’s getting a few new things added. Namely, shift codes have been added, new heads and skins for changing the character up, and the minimap will now be on the screen. This remastered version will be available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Borderlands 3 is finally announced!
The tease had shown off a number of what’s to come, including two new villains, several familiar faces, and all new characters to play. And of course, a lot of new guns, and some guns with legs. Gearbox admitted that it’s taken then 5 years to make this game, and they were so happy to show off the work that they put into making it. And even though everyone knew that Borderlands 3 would be talked about and shown off, it was well worth the wait.
There is not set release date for Borderlands 3, but it’s finally coming. Gearbox did say more information about the game will be coming April 3. To see the whole event, check out the stream here.
