PAX East came down to a close on Sunday, and for some, the excitement might not have been enough. Unfortunately, the next PAX event is not for another half year, but for those who want to get ahead of the curve, PAX Aus 2018 tickets have just gone up for sale with some early-bird special promotions.
For starters, the first benefit of taking advantage of the early-bird deal is the obvious price reduction for day passes and badges. While on special, a three day pass will only cost $165 each, while individual day passes will cost only $62 each. In addition, the international three day passes will be the same price as a standard three day pass. Also, there will be a BYOC pass, or a Bring Your Own Computer pass that will only be $45 for right now.
A BYOC pass will secure a holder a guaranteed space to set up their own computer to play with others on the convention center’s LAN network. There will be many other free, although limited, open PC stations to game on, so if there is a need or want to game with hundreds of other game enthusiasts at a massive gaming convention, then it might not be a bad investment.
With a three day pass, owners will have access to the convention grounds for all three days and will save $20 in comparison to buying individual day badges. With all badges, owners will get free delivery of their badges to their home with no additional costs, and they will be the first to gain access to exclusive PAX merchandise. As an added bonus, ten local Australians who purchase any badges during the early-bird promotion will have a chance to win any ten games that will be released in 2018.
This promotional period lasts until June 19, with a winner chosen every Wednesday starting on April 18. Also, Registration for press and content creator passes will open sometime in July.
