Paralives, a new Simulation game coming May 26th has released a new Gameplay Trailer to show fans some of the dynamics expected in their upcoming game. The Gameplay trailer also dropped with a 45 minutes Gameplay video so both videos are available for fans and those curious about the game.
One thing interesting in the Gameplay teaser is the ability to select a household, these are introduced on a train where in each seat a varied group of characters sit and discuss. Players seem to have the ability to select, edit or play with premade Parapeople, or create their own. In customization mode, height, clothes, values and personalities depend on the player’s will. Another interesting part of Paralives is that characters have “Storytellers” which affect gameplay, and of course, some of the story material can be edited to suit the life players want to create as well as Stella the dog, whose ability to “make life easier” will presumably be a happy surprise.
Once done, the train takes people to the town of Melino, which has lots of places to buy and build homes for Para people. Homes can be built “with or without grids” allowing different building capabilities such as curved walls and ‘resizable’ windows, and the ability to add grass and flowers. For decoration, the gameplay trailer shows off decorative “clutter” and multiple color opportunities with color wheels. Using a computer, para people can find jobs and choose which job and schedule is right. Para people can also go to particular places, but as they go through the world, they can stop at several world places, such as shops and particular markets. para people can collect and donate mushrooms to the museums, and it seems there’s quite a lot to be donated.
Another interesting detail is that “participation in town events” increases skills related to those events, “more than usual.” Of course, there’s still things to do, as Para people can get “Short time goals” which when completed can “Level up” personalities with “bonuses.” To find mods, they’ll be in the Steam Workshop page of Paralives. As for Work, Para people have the opportunity to gain upgrades which they can choose to upgrade “job ranks” or gain “perks.” In pubs, para people can play games, chat using “together cards” to steer conversation between para people. It also seems that some actions are determined by chance, as the game literally spins to see if the card action works or doesn’t. As the trailer winds down, it also reveals the ability to pick story line for the next day. Paralives is constantly evolving and ever growing and the numerous abilities in the game, ought to keep players on their feet. Paralives can be found on Steam.
