The start of 2024 saw an unexpected top dog in the gaming world, as Palworld released and was immediately a massive hit, accumulating over 19 million players. The game released as early access on Steam, the Microsoft Store, and Xbox Game Pass with an expected full release some time in 2025. Now it seems PlayStation wants in on the fun as well with the open world, survival RPG now being slotted as one of the games on a list being revealed to have PS5 port on the way and to be revealed at Tokyo Game Show 2024, first noticed by Gematsu.
Palworld is coming to PS5, according to the list of games at Tokyo Game Show 2024 released by the CESA today (also should be noted that this list is never by any means definitive): https://t.co/X0XnPvu7fa pic.twitter.com/PuYYu9y1fb

While lists like these can be subject to change, Palworld seems like an easy option for PlayStation since its proven success and solid community backing. The information about this list also seems fairly reliable as it comes from the event organizers, CESA, themselves. This, paired with the fact that the dev team at Pocketpair have been teasing Palworld would be coming to PS5 since spring of this year, makes it a reasonable assumption that we can expect an announcement anywhere before to during the show slotted for September 26th-29th later this month. The game will also be celebrating its one year anniversary in January and hopes for a full version with cross play capability seems like a very big possibility for that timeframe.
With Palworld becoming one of the most successful games in Steam history, a full release still on the horizon, and various platforms wanting the game ported for their systems, the potential seems endless for Pocketpair and their unexpected champion of a game.
