Today, Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. announced that Pac-Man Museum+ will launch on May 27, 2022. The game will be available to play on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PCs through Steam and Windows PC supported by Xbox Play Anywhere. Pac-Man Museum+ will also be compatible with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles and be available to play on day one with Xbox Game Pass.
Pac-Man Museum+, which was first announced last November, is a more modern and updated curated collection compared to its 2014 predecessor, Pac-Man Museum. The game will include fourteen classic and contemporary Pac-Man titles throughout the iconic game character’s 40+ year history, allowing casual fans and Pac-Man enthusiasts to participate in the fun.
The fourteen games featured in Pac-Man Museum+ include Pac-Man, Super Pac-Man, Pac & Pal, Pac-Land, Pac-Mania, Pac-Attack, Pac-In-Time, Pac-Man Arrangement Arcade ver., Pac-Man Arrangement CS ver., Pac-Man Championship Edition, Pac Motos, Pac’n Roll Remix, Pac-Man Battle Royale, and Pac-Man 256.
Five titles, Pac-Attack, Pac-Man Arrangement Arcade ver., Pac Motos, Pac-Man Battle Royale, and Pac-Man 256, will allow players to play with family and friends through offline simultaneous play. Players who are feeling more competitive can show off their Pac-Man skills with other players around the world by going online and registering their top scores in a variety of different leaderboards worldwide.
The game will also introduce the ability for players to customize the in-game arcade using items earned by completing missions for each title, along with earning in-game coins from each of the fourteen featured games. Players will be able to unlock and use items such as cabinets, figures, decorations, wallpapers, custom flooring, and a jukebox to customize and design their virtual arcade layouts to their liking. Additionally, players who purchase Pac-Man Museum+ within the first 30 days of launch will obtain a special launch bonus that includes five silver or gold figures that can be displayed in the in-game arcade.
Pac-Man Museum+ will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC on May 27, 2022.
