Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Is Coming To The Switch

Bandai Namco has officially announced that Pac-Man Champion Edition 2 and 2+ will be coming to the Nintendo Switch Early next year in February. The title was initially released in 2016 for the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 added a new twist on the classic favorite introducing the new game modes Score Attack, Adventure, and Big Boss Battle. While this gave players all the fun and excitement of the first Championship Edition with a boost a difficulty that players seemed to love.

Although this resonated well with players this title was only single player. Champion Edition 2+ however co-op and local multiplayer to the mix. On the Switch version of the game, each player will be able to control a character with a single JoyCon. The players will hash it out to see who can get the highest score. Whatever players prefer either single player or multiplayer both versions of the game will officially be releasing on the Nintendo’s hybrid console on February 22, 2018.

Despite the system doing quite well since it’s release in March, publisher Bandai Namco has taken quite a bit of time warming up to the Switch. It’s most notable release is currently a port of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. They have most likely been observing the feedback from that release and have been making decisions about future releases based upon that. But the announcement of such a huge franchise like Pac-Man coming to the console seems like a step in the right direction for more big names from the publisher to hit the Switch.
