Overwatch Hosting Another Free to Play Weekend

In an announcement earlier today, Blizzard Entertainment revealed that they would be offering players a chance to try out Overwatch free of charge for yet another weekend. From November 18 through the 21st, players on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 will have access to the game.

Anyone who wishes to log on and play will have access to 13 maps and all 22 heroes as well as multiplayer game types such as Quick Play, Custom Games, and the Weekly Brawl. The only character to not be playable is, Sombra, which is currently only available on Overwatch’s Public Test Realm.

To make things easier, Blizzard was gracious enough to provide a map of when each country and time zone would be able to begin the festivities.

Players will have to download a roughly 12gb version of the game and will be unable to obtain trophies or achievements. When asked whether or not players would be able to keep the ranks and progression from the free weekend, Blizzard responded that,

Any progression you earn, including levels as well as skins and other items you get from Loot Boxes, will carry over to the full game if you purchase Overwatch: Origins Edition on Xbox One or PlayStation 4 or any version of Overwatch on PC—just be sure you purchase the game on the same console account you played on during this free weekend.
