The point system is based on the player’s wins and losses. If a player earns 21% towards the next tier division, then the player will gain 210 drive points. The drive score is ten times the full skill rank percentage. If the player loses 19% of the competitive rank progresses, it will cost 95 drive points. Losing will reduce the drive score by 5 times the total skill rank. The only time a player’s drive points will not be affected for losing is if a checkpoint is completed.
Once a player reaches a checkpoint, they will earn bonus competitive points or a signature, which is a cosmetic reward. Rewards and prizes will be various at the six different stages. If competitive points are earned, they can be used to get a new golden or jade gun. If a player earns signatures, it will be seen in the hero portrait. The player can use signatures to change the battle tag’s appearance in-game. Signatures will rest once a new Competitive Drives period begins, allowing new Signature rewards to be earned.
According to PC Gamer, the checkpoints and rewards are:
- Tier 1: 300 drive points – 500 competitive points.
- Tier 2: 700 drive points – signature.
- Tier 3: 1200 drive points – 1000 competitive points.
- Tier 4: 1700 drive points – advanced signature.
- Tier 5: 2200 drive points – 1500 competitive points.
- Tier 6: 2700 drive points – elite signature.
Players can tune into Twitch from Friday to Sunday if they need new strategies. It is encouraged to link your Battle Net and Twitch accounts to earn battle pass tier skips.
