After four years of development, Ooblets has released to the Epic Games Store for PC and Xbox One consoles in early access. Ooblets is a chill farming and life simulator game developed by Gumberland that is very similar to Nintendo’s Animal Crossing series. Featuring a large variety of tiny Ooblet monsters, players can create their own farms and visit the town full of the Ooblets ready to be interacted with. Players will be able to collect a variety of different creatures and use them in “Pokemon-esque” dance battles with other characters. Ooblets is also available for purchase through the Microsoft Store for PCs, with other console releases possible for the future.
We spent the last 4 years making this lil game about collecting creatures, farming, dancing, and other stuff—and it’s finally out 😭

Despite its current early access status, the developers of Ooblets fully intend to update the game through its 1.0 official release. On a blog post from the developers, the devs also thanked the community for their support for the game, “developing Ooblets has been our lives for the past 4 years, and it’s been a pretty wild ride full of major ups and downs. There’s still a long way to go to take it from early access to 1.0, so I hope you’ll all join us for the journey.”
The team has a lot of content planned for the future, with a possible multiplayer mode coming later in development. Ooblets is available for purchase now for $25, but the Epic Games Store will take 20% off for the next week until July 23. If you have any remaining Epic Mega Sale coupons, they can also be used on the purchase. Starting today, players can begin creating their farms and begin collecting and meeting different Ooblet monsters.
