The London-based indie studio, Roll7 Games behind the former PS Vita exclusive, OlliOlli, a 2D skateboarding game will now be available for PS4, PS3, PC, Mac and Linux via Steam this Summer.
“The PS Vita was where Sony’s big Indie push was in 2013, so that’s what they funded,” Roll7’s Simon Bennet told Joystiq about the game’s debut as a Vita exclusive. “We are hyped about playing it on a Dualshock though, it really feels more tactile when going for more complicated tricks!”
OlliOlli, challenges players to survive a series of challenging layouts while making mass combos and looking as cool as possible at all times. It has five worlds, which all of them have ten levels each, an amateur run and an expert run. There are objectives to every run, which involves not only scoring but also collecting items or going over gaps. Every run, will help the player improve on each runs combos, scoring, timing, and reaction times. There are 250 challenges, with over 120+ tricks and grinds, and also includes 3 different modes that you battle online to be the number one spot on career mode, spots mode, RDA mode. Take a practice shot at runs, before going for the Daily Grind level, which provides additional challenge through a special run, which changes every 24 hours.
With these different ports, Roll7 Games will not be making them, they will go to Spain based porting studio, BlitWorks. BlitWorks, has been responsible for PlayStation ports on games like Fez and Spelunky. As for the steam port, publisher Devolver Digital, will be in working on this port. Devolver Digital is the publisher behind Hotline Miami. While both companies are working on the different ports, Roll7 Games will still be trying to fix a game-crashing bug on the PS Vita version and plans to patch in that fix with a larger update soon to come.
The PS Vita exclusive was released back in January.
