As hype continues to grow for Nintendo’s mysterious NX, more and more industry bigwigs come out to praise the console. A few days ago, we had an executive over at the Pokémon Company talked about how the NX will change what it means to be home console and handheld. Now it’s Ubisoft’s turn to praise the NX.
During a Ubisoft event, IGN sat down with Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot and during the interview he talked a little bit about NX.
Guillemot said that he liked how the interface is set up and that it would be something that all gamers could pick up and use easily.
I think, once again, the interface is very attractive. It’s a machine that will be easy to use for all gamers.
He went on to say that the console will give users a totally new experience. Guillemot also praised Nintendo for its ability to predict the market and seemingly give the public exactly what they want at the time.
They have built in something that will give us [the] chance to really have a different experience from what exists today. That’s what I like – that they come with something new that is adapted to what we actually want now.
IGN also noted that during a separate presentation Guillemot called the NX a “fantastic machine” and said “it’s a really new approach, it’s really Nintendo, coming with something new again. We love it.”
Currently, Ubisoft is working on an NX version of their upcoming Just Dance 2017, which was announced during E3 this year. The game doesn’t have concrete release date, but it will be out either at launch in March or soon after.
