No Man’s Sky Launches On Nintendo Switch And Playstation 5 October 7th

Traverse the mysteries of space in the palm of your hands. Despite an initial summer release, No Man’s Sky hits the Nintendo Switch on October 7th, 2022, finally opening the door for Switch users to experience No Man’s Sky on-the-go. Game developer Hello Games announced the Nintendo Switch release of their titular title earlier today, showcasing a new trailer including all their latest updates for the upcoming release.

No Man’s Sky lets the player explore an infinite procedural generated galaxy with uncharted solar systems and unique new life-forms. No Man’s Sky’s Switch release will launch as a single-player experience, including content from 20 updates spanning six years. This new release will utilize the Switches features like its touch-screen and docking and undocking capabilities. Switch users can look forward to ongoing developments post-launch. Sean Murray, Hello Games Founder and Co-creator of No Man’s Sky, showed off his excitement about the announcement on Twitter.

“…Honestly, the team is never happier when they try to do these new and impossible things.” Murray stated. “We’ve been updating No Man’s Sky for six years now, and every Switch player will benefit from that day 1. But we won’t stop there, there’s so much we want to do in the future…”

With a game holding such a vast scope, it is exciting to see it available on the Nintendo Switch. Hello Games has worked hard to improve No Man’s Sky in its six-year development, and this new version seems like a stepping stone into its next chapter. The No Man’s Sky Switch release offers digital copies through the Nintendo eShop and physical copies worldwide through Bandai Namco. A physical release on the PlayStation 5 version will also be available on October 7, 2022.
