Nioh’s Patch 1.06 Goes Live, Here’s What it Changes

In a Facebook post earlier today on Nioh’s official timeline, the group posted a few pictures revealing the details of the newest patch to make its way to the game. In conjunction with the patch, players for a limited time can take advantage of a discount offer for the game, but you’ll have to be quick as it ends soon.

For the patch itself, there is a fair amount of changes being implemented in the game. Most notably of these changes is new sub-missions that are now available for those who have reached the final part of the game.  They were even nice enough to make a note that players working their way to getting the Samurai of Legend Trophy will not be effected by these new additions. For those who may be unfamiliar with the trophy, in order to unlock it, one must complete every single mission in the game. With the addition of the new sub-missions there will also be new Titles and Smithing Texts to be obtained.

On the general improvements side of things, the patch has now added a much desired feature of being able to now pause the game while in the Status menu by simply pressing the Options button. As with many games like this you can only do so when you are in single player, if you do so in multiplayer you will most likely be killed. You’ll also now be able to use the left and right buttons to scroll through items in the equipment screen.

As for being discounted, Nioh will now be only be $40 until tomorrow March 25th. The deal can be made from the Playstation Store. The season pass will be dropped to $17.99 and the Deluxe edition will be discounted to $53.59.
