Some other new game announcements include New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, Town, Cities: Skylines, Civilization VI, and Katamari Damacy. Leading up to the Direct, Nintendo stated that they will be making some announcements for the 3DS as well. Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn and Bowser’s Inside Story will both come to the Nintendo 3DS. With the release of classic NES games that will be available to play on Switch, Nintendo unveiled a new controller styled like the old NES controllers that will also be compatible with the rest of the Switch’s NES library. They will cost $60 dollars and are only available to Switch Online subscribers. It was also revealed that certain tabletop games will be available for the Nintendo Switch on top of all the games that were announced.
In Smash related news, Nintendo revealed that a hardware bundle for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be available to purchase. The bundle releases November 2, a month before the release of the game on December 7. The bundle will include the Nintendo Switch system, special joy-cons that have the Smash logo, and a special dock that has characters from the original roster. Also, there was a surprising new character announced for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s roster. Isabelle, from Animal Crossing, will be making an appearance in the game.
