Kirby fans are cautiously optimistic after a post from the Trademark tracker Chizai Watch revealed the renewal of Kirby: Triple Deluxe. The post was made by a bot account for the Tracker website on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Initially released in 2014 for the 3DS, Kirby: Triple Deluxe is a 2.5D platformer and the tenth game in the main Kirby series. The game used the 3DS features, introducing a game mechanic that allows Kirby and friends switch between and explore limited 3-D planes in the foreground to the background.
The post quickly gained a large amount of traction from the Kirby fanbase with many fans quote-tweeting their excitement, and wondering if this is pointing to a possible remake in the future.
That said, other fans are far more cynical. While many agreed that Kirby: Triple Deluxe on the Switch would be amazing, the trademark post likely doesn’t symbolize that. Since trademark renewals are common, this situation could be nothing. So while this might be exciting, it’s important for fans to not get their hopes up.
For those that do want to keep eyes on the situation, follow Nintendo’s various social media channels and head over to their official website.
