Starting on the weekend of May 31st, Nintendo plans to host a series of online tournaments that will last until the 21st of June. The Super Smash Brothers Ultimate North American Online Open is the second tournament in the series of tournaments for this year, following Nintendo’s Spring 2020 Online event. The top four highest-placing players from each of the four tournaments hosted will receive a downloadable copy of the Super Smash Brothers Ultimate Fighters Pass: Volume 2, Splatoon 2, and a copy of Arms for the Nintendo Switch. The tournament will follow the same rules as past Nintendo online Ultimate tournaments and will be in a 1v1 arena format with no items. Each weekend will be a tournament for a specific region to compete in, and you can check which tournament date is for your region and sign up on the Battlefly page for the tournament. Registration for all four weekends of tournaments is free but will close on May 30th, before the start of the first online tournament in the series.
