Nintendo Announces Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Limited Edition

Nintendo just concluded their Direct that was dedicated to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and boy, was it full of amazing reveals! In short, series creator, Masahiro Sakurai, announced as slew of new fighters. Simon and Richter Belmont, Dark Samus, Chrom, and King K. Rool were all revealed, and along with new stages and soundtracks, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is shaping up to be the video game of the year to own. However, Nintendo wasn’t finished with the hype building for Smash, as Nintendo UK announced on their Twitter that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be getting Limited Edition, and at the moment, it is exclusive to the Europe Region.

For those of you lucky enough to pre-order this beautiful looking collectors box, you’ll be graced with a physical copy of the game, a Gamecube controller with the Super Smash Bros. logo on it, and a Gamecube Controller Adapter for the Switch. While it is unfortunate that it only comes with one Gamecube controller, it’s still nice to have the adapter included, as the chances of those selling out when the game releases are very high. In addition, Nintendo confirmed that the adapters will be compatible with the Switch via USB ports, which they stated back in June when the game was initially revealed. At the time of this writing, the Limited Edition is still exclusive to Europe, and pricing has not been announced either. Hopefully, Nintendo of America will announce in the future that the North American Region will receive this edition as well, for their are plenty of fans that would love to get their hands on this.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate releases on December 7.
