Night School Studios Announces Oxenfree’s PS4 Release Price And Special Vinyl Soundtrack Edition

Extremely famous in internal and inclusive cycles, and having accumulated an abundance of critical acclaim and positive reviews during its initial release back during the most recently holiday season, exploitative, narrative heavy ghost story Oxenfree is seeing some pretty edgy new releases.

Having been previously announced for a surprise and well-requested Playstation 4 release on this upcoming May 31st, developers continue to show they have more than one trick up their sleeve. The new launch will feature brand new and additional content expanding on the world, characters, and narrative of Oxenfree with added dialogue, new areas to delve and explore, added alternative endings–opening new dialogue options and character interaction for players to choose from!

This week, indie developers at Night School Studios announced the price for the newest PS4 launch at ” $14.99 USD for PlayStation Plus members as part of a special launch-month sale, and $19.99 at retail” according to IGN.

To this end, and to mark the celebratory occasion, Night School Studios partnered with innovative swag crafters at iam8bit (who has previously worked on a, currently and sadly sold out, special collector’s edition for Oxenfree, with a detailed map of the game’s setting–Edwards Island–a cooler for beer, a beer cozy, as well as a digital code to download the game for either Xbox One or Steam accessible computers) to bring Oxenfree’s well received soundtrack to vinyl.

Available for pre-order now through iam8bit’s website, fans can currently purchase the special retro soundtrack (available also for free listening on Spotify) to be shipped in September of 2016.

The pre-order includes:

  • Music Composed by SCNTFC
  • Cover Art by Austin JamesS
  • Sleeve Art by Heather
  • 180-gram 2xLP
  • Download Code (sent 6/3/16)

Below you can glimpse a sneak peek at concept art used to spearhead the game’s vinyl soundtrack!
