Ni No Kuni II Show Off Trailer for DLC “Tale of the Timeless Tomb”

Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom was first revealed back in 2017 after the success of Studio Ghibli and Bandai Namco’s crossover experiment Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. It had few delays before it finally launched in March of 2018. And close to the game’s one year anniversary of launching, Bandai Namco has revealed that Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is getting the second major DLC episode:

The DLC, A Tale of Timeless Tomb, continues the story with main character Evan, who comes to a new world where memories of many people mingle after having fallen asleep at the Goldpaw Inn. So, it’s not at all clear whose memory belongs to whom. But it is here Evan and his companions find themselves against their greatest enemies, the Nightmares. These new strong and dark creatures are tricky, as they use crowd-controlling magic and spells to keep the team where The Nightmares want them to be. These new fighting methods will also be available to go against in a new Arena. This Arena, named The Solosseum Slog, will have timed challenges with even harder enemies. Some of them are even unable to be reached, as shown in the trailer.

As for the new characters, the biggest addition to A Tale of Timeless Tomb is the Conductor. The Conductor is an odd man inside of a large rabbit mask and in a suit. There are many questions about this character, including why he lives there and what his motivations might be.

As for other additions, the Wizard’s Companion is making a triumphant return from the first game, as well as Martha’s Methods.

The Tale of Timeless Tomb will be available for $14.99 USD on PS4 and PC March 19, 2019. This DLC is also available in the Ni No Kuni II Season Pass.
