New Sesame Street games are on their way thanks to a recent collaboration with Nex and Sesame Workshop.
According to the press release, these upcoming games are apart of Nex’s growing catalogue of games focused on child development on the new plug and play console Nex Playground starting this month.
Released in December 2023, the Nex Playground is a console focused on the fun of physical play through immersive games. Powered by “advanced motion technology” players young and old can control games on the console through motion controls with ease.
David Lee, co-founder and CEO of Nex, shared his excitement on the collaboration with Sesame Workshop in a statement.
“Since launching Nex Playground late last year, we’ve grown a loyal fanbase of not only parents and their children, but also teachers and child development specialists who have been looking for more interactive educational resources. This makes our collaboration with Sesame Workshop especially timely, as we are able to tap into their iconic characters and bring them to life in new and interactive ways for children to engage with,” said Lee. “We’re thrilled to have these new games launch in conjunction with our availability on Amazon, just in time for families looking to stay active indoors during summer heat waves.”
Elmo Says, a game focused on exercising executive function skills is the first game released for this collaboration. Sometime next month, the next game in the collaboration Elmo & Abby’s Magical Letter Hunt, will be released.
Nex Playground is currently available on Amazon for purchase. Potential users can gain access to the collaboration games and Nex’s existing game catalogue with a Play Pass subscription.
