New Wave Toys has announced its latest RepliCade with Crystal Castles. There will be three editions available to choose from, Crystal Castles x Replicade, Crystal Castles Real Arcade Track-Ball Stick Bundle, and Crystal Castles Field-Test Edition.
The Crystal Castles x RepliCade is a fully playable 1/6 scale replica of the original Cyrstal Castles arcade machine that was released back in 1983. The original Crystal Castles arcade machine was one of the most successful arcade games released at the time with approximately 4,880 machines being manufactured plus an estimated 500 cocktail tables. The Crystal Castles x RepliCade costs $199.99.
Crystal Castles x RepliCade features the ability to play the original arcade ROM, new illuminated Trak-ball, mini coin-op, CRT-FX 2.0 with reflection reduction tech, arcade operator’s menu with customizable dip switch and cabinet settings, miniaturized control panel featuring Mini Trak-Ball, Pluf ‘n Play HDTV and USB controller connectivity optimized for the Real Arcade Trak-Ball Stick, hand crafted cabinet from traditional materials including wood, metal, and plastic, illuminated marquee and LED enhanced cabinet accents, RepliCade signature stereo audio reproduction with volume control and pad lock prop, high-resolution cabinet art reproduction, Replica Diecast metal coin doors with cash box storage compartment, a built-in, high capacity rechargeable battery, and premium IPS color screen with 4:3 aspect ratio. The illumination sequences of Crystal Castles’ iconic red-glowing Trak-ball have also been recreated in 1/6th scale.
The Crystal Castles x RepliCade + Real Arcade Trak-Ball Stick bundle includes the RepliCade along with the Real Arcade Trak-Ball Stick which is built to last with heavy-duty wood construction combined with a illuminated GRS Arcade Track-Ball and authentic Happ Arcade Buttons with Cherry Micro switches. The Stick features HDMI Plug n’ Play so players can use it on the big screen with cable-free gameplay. The bundle cost $349.99.
The Crystal Castles x RepliCade Field-Test Edition is a fully playable 1/6th scale replica of the Pre-Production Crystal Castles cabinet that was field tested in arcades before it was switched to the production cabinet art package. The Field-Test Edition includes all of the same features as the standard Crystal Castles x RepliCade except for the faithfully reproduced preproduction cabinet artwork. The Field-Test Edition also costs $199.99.
