Four months ago, New Wave Toys shared an update following the accident of founder Shilo Prychak. The accident caused some additional unplanned product development and production delays. At the time, New Wave Toys said that they would be focusing on catching up one project at a time. Today, they shared a new update sharing that Prychak has passed away and detail what’s next.

“It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of New Wave’s founder and chief mastermind, Shilo Prychak. The NWT team is understandably shaken, as are so many of us who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.
Shilo’s vision, creativity, and passion were the foundation of this company, and his impact on our team, our partners, and the arcade community cannot be overstated. He poured himself into building something meaningful, and that spirit will always be part of what he created.
During this time, current and former managers are coming together to help stabilize the business and keep things moving forward. We are committed to honoring Shilo’s legacy and the dream he worked so hard to build.
As you may know, Shilo had many projects in progress at the time of his passing. We know many of you will have questions about preorders placed for those projects. Please know that our first priority is to come back to you all with concrete information as soon as possible.

In addition to the Golden Tee X RepliCade that was delayed following the accident,New Wave Toys is also working on the development of Crystal Crashers X RepliCade which was announced back in 2024.
