It is time to plug into the virtual world and descend into another grand adventure. Players will take the role of Kirito in an all-new epic adventure in the action adventure role playing game, Sword Art Online Last Recollection. The game is being developed by Aqurio Co. and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. This game is based on The War of the Underworld arc of the Sword Art Online Anime. The arc to the anime had a somber ending but in this new original storyline, fans will take the role of Kirito and explore a different scenario, one where Kirito and friends meet a different outcome.

A great battle has been initiated. The gates of the Underworld are opening and the divide between the Human Realm and the Dark Territory is fading. The Dark Territory has declared war against the Human Realm. Kiritio and his team brace themselves for an attack. After encountering a Dark Knight from the Dark Territory, allegiances and betrayals are made. Just as everything seems to be coming to an end, help arrives on the scene. Bestowed with the power of the Gods and their resolve, Asuna, Leafa, Sinon, Lisbeth and Silica are granted new powers and together forge a new future. The battle system has been improved. Transformable blade cooperation will now let players play with up to four players to take on and defeat familiar foes from the anime. The game will host a face paced battle system and a large number of playable characters, both new and old. With the hack and slash combat style and the elements of the anime, fans will be immersed in the world of Sword Art Online franchise.
Sword Art Online Last Recollection is scheduled to be released October 6th, 2023 for PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam.
