Players are the commander and the marines are your weapons. The squad will be issued commands and the party members who are best fitted for the task issued will be assigned to complete that job. For players to better immerse themselves in the world of aliens, players will have the option to play on a keyboard or with a game controller. Strategy is key in this game and gamers will have to pick their moves carefully. People have the ability to slow down the speed of time in combat for a bit in order to gain an advantage and give strategic commands to their squad. Players must be careful about how they engage their foes. Death is permanent in the game and once a marine falls in battle, they cannot be replaced.
Explore large levels and complete missions and objectives while leveling up your marines. This will give your squad special abilities, perks, and gear such as pulse rifles, pistols and shotguns. Customization will also be available to further optimize squads. Aliens: Dark Descent will be released June 20, 2023, and will be available to play on PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
