A new trailer has been released for an upcoming game titled Ghost of Yōtei, and it is focused on the benefits players can expect if they purchase the collector’s edition version of the game. Ghost of Yōtei will be released on October 2, 2025, and appears to be PlayStation 5 exclusive, with no information about its potential release on other consoles such as the Xbox Series X|S, and the Nintendo Switch, along with no information of a release on PC. With this being said, it would not be surprising if Ghost of Yōtei was eventually released to PC, as it is the sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, which was released to PC. Looking more closely at the plot of the game, gamers will follow the story of a lone mercenary named Atsu, and the game will take place in 1600, 300 years after the events of the first game. The game’s publisher, Sony Interactive Entertainment, went into further detail on the plot, saying:
Her quest across Ezo will take her to unexplored lands as she seeks out a gang of six outlaws.
Many of the items shown in the trailer are things that players will not necessarily need to purchase the collector’s edition to get, though they would get all the items shown if they do. The first items shown are an exclusive in-game mask, along with the Atsu + Yōtei Six Avatar Set, and these are for gamers who pre-order any version of the game. Next, the trailer showed items players would be able to get by purchasing the digital deluxe edition of Ghost of Yōtei, such as the snake armor, and the horse and saddle. As for the exclusive collector’s edition content, gamers will get art cards, a ghost mask, a sash, a zeni hajinki coin game & pouch, and a papercraft ginkgo tree.
