A new trailer has been released for the upcoming iteration of the EA Sports FC franchise, EA Sports FC 26. The trailer focused on the additions and changes that the developers made to career mode. This is mode that some fans over the years have complained about, due to their view that Electronic Arts had cast it off to the side as a non-priority and focused most of their energy on the ultimate team mode. EA Sports FC 26 is being developed by EA Canada and published by Electronic Arts. The game will be released this fall, specifically on September 25, 2025, and it will be available on consoles such as the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and both versions of the Nintendo Switch. EA Sports FC 26 will also be available on PC through Steam. For those who may not know, EA Sports FC 26 is a football(soccer) simulator that can be played both multiplayer and single-player. Going into more detail on EA Sports FC 26, Electronic Arts said:

Play your way with an overhauled gameplay experience powered by community feedback, Manager Live Challenges that bring fresh storylines to the new season, and Archetypes inspired by greats of the game.

The first new addition discussed in the trailer was manager live, which allows players to complete famous managerial objectives, and participate in a manager market that includes firings and hirings. Different gameplay appears to have been added to this mode, with it seeming more simulation-like, along with overhauled analytics. Some manager live challenges will require specific teams to be chosen, while others will allow any team. You will also now be able to use icons in your manager career, and you can earn them throughout the game. Unexpected events have also been added to career mode, with players sometimes having to now navigate realistic challenges such as your team getting food poisoning, or their being a budget malfunction. It was also noted that unexpected events are optional for players and can be turned off.
