New Tekken 8 Gameplay Shown at The Game Awards 2022

After teasing us this past Summer and then with an official reveal, Bandai Namco was finally ready to give us all what we’ve been waiting for. At The Game Awards 2022, we got a glimpse of the gameplay for Tekken 8, as well as some of the story aspects that will pit Kazuya Mishima against his own son Jin Kazama in the never ending blood feud over the Devil Gene.

We’re shown several glimpses of different fighters enter their respective fights. This includes King, Jack, Law, and Lars. We also see each of them battle it out for a brief moment, with each one looking more and more exquisite in terms of fluid gameplay. The style appears to be very similar to the previous entry with a major upgrade in terms of overall graphical prowess. Finally we see the inevitable battle of Kazuya and Jin, with the former taking on his Devil form and giving Jin a thrashing. Jin’s mother, Jun Kazama, appears and gives him strength to keep going. The trailer ends there but it’s another outstanding introduction for the fanbase, and we can’t wait to see more.

Tekken 8 will launch for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/Series S, and PC.
