Michael Bay-produced film, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be making its way to theaters in August 8th. Coming just in time for the movies release in theaters, Publisher Activision has announced today that there will be a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game. The game is based on the live-action movie, and it will be coming later this summer for Nintendo 3DS.
Paris, France based Developer, Magic Pockets, will be behind the development for the new TMNT game, Magic Pockets brought the previous years TMNT game that was based on the Nickelodeon CG series to Xbox 360, Wii, and 3DS. When players play the new TMNT, they will experience a third-person hack-and-slash action game that is set in New York City. Players will be going against a mutant, robotic army who were created by a mad genius Baxter Stockman and the Foot Clan’s shadow army who has the goal to destroy the city.
Players will not be limited to just one, but will allow for control of all four heroes, Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello. You will be able to quickly swap between all four Ninjas right on the spot, which will help out during combats, due to each ninja turtle having different skills that would help with the fight.
Players will be able to explore the streets and sewers in order to take down enemies, with every battle, the Ninja Turtles will level up their powers and earn new abilities. You will also be able to upgrade stats and collect materials in order to go to the Turtles Liar to craft powerful weapons.
Magic Pockets revealed that “Raphael is the more powerful of the bunch, while Michelangelo is faster than the others.”
Another more recent TMNT game was developed by Red Fly Studio, which was called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. Though at launch, the game ended up being broken and wasn’t really enjoyed by players and fans of TMNT.
